These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Emaan Central (“Emaan”, “we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Emaan mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using Emaan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Emaan. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Emaan only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.
2. The Service
Emaan provides Islamic tools and content, which may include prayer times, a Quran reader with audio and memorization tools, duas, a tasbeeh (dhikr) counter, prayer tracking, ruqyah, Islamic Stories (audio), the Emaan AI assistant, a rewards program, and related features across mobile, car (Android Auto and CarPlay), and TV. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
4. Emaan Pro subscriptions
Emaan offers an optional paid subscription, “Emaan Pro”, which unlocks premium features such as an ad-free experience, Islamic Stories, the full ruqyah library, expanded Emaan AI usage, the 500 Quran Words course, memorization (Hifz) tools, cloud sync, and more, as described in the app.
- Auto-renewing subscription. Emaan Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (for example, monthly or annual plans). The exact plans and prices are shown in the app and on the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not provide a refund for the current period.
- Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google and are subject to their refund policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly for app-store purchases.
5. Emaan coins & rewards
Emaan may offer a virtual rewards program (“Emaan coins”). Coins have no monetary value, are not real currency, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable. We may set, change, or remove earning and redemption limits, and we may modify or discontinue the rewards program at any time. Coins are forfeited if your account is closed or terminated.
6. Emaan AI — important notice
You agree not to use Emaan AI to generate unlawful, harmful, hateful, or abusive content, and not to enter sensitive personal information into it.
7. Content & acceptable use
Content in Emaan, including Quran text and audio, duas, Islamic Stories, and other materials, is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Copy, redistribute, sell, or publicly perform the app’s content except as expressly permitted;
- Reverse engineer, tamper with, or attempt to bypass the app’s security, subscriptions, or ad delivery;
- Use the Service unlawfully, or to infringe others’ rights;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
8. Intellectual property
The Emaan app, its design, trademarks, and original content are owned by Emaan Central or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app in accordance with these Terms. Religious source texts remain in their respective public or licensed status.
9. Third-party services
Emaan relies on third-party services (including Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, and content-delivery providers) and may link to third-party content. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, which are governed by their own terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that prayer times, AI responses, or other content are error-free or uninterrupted. You are responsible for verifying prayer times and religious information for your location and situation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emaan Central and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty Canadian dollars (CAD $50).
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app. Your continued use of Emaan after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts located in Alberta, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
